Akash Kapoor is an Indian ex pat who is married with three kids. He lives in Durham, N.C. where he specializes in glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, and cataract surgery. Kapoor is a dedicated researcher receiving support to research preventable blindness. Kapoor regularly travels back to India to visit his family in Lucknow and has seen firsthand the lack of resources in India to cure preventable blindness.
