BUSINESS PERFORMANCE

JITI'S MISSION

To combat preventable blindness in India and to enhance the lives of underprivileged young women in rural India.

JITI'S GOALS

  1. To empower young women in the Indian community

  2. To cure existing preventable blindness until the condition is eradicated

  3. To eventually prevent people from becoming blind in the first place by creating a network of eye care centers and eye care professionals and providing easy access to eye exams and treatments.

WHERE IS JITI NOW?

The Jiti Foundation is a nascent non-profit organization working to raise funds in North Carolina to support the creation of an eyecare network across the Uttar Pradesh state in India. The Foundation functions in a crowded space; going up against both local and national nonprofits that support curing preventable blindness in India. Competitors are numerous, and several foundations also focus on empowering women within their Indian communities as well.

To raise awareness and increase donations, the Jiti Foundation seeks to create a contemporary Digital Advertising and Marketing campaign. The target geography for the challenge is North Carolina, and the total annual budget for the campaign is $20,000. Jiti Foundation has set a $100,000 goal in new donations as a result of the $20,000 expenditure.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

The Jiti Foundation pursues their mission by funding vision clinics in rural India. They staff these clinics with young women from these communities, who are trained to serve their communities by giving eye exams, providing vision services, and referring complex cases to regional facilities.

India is home to the world's largest portion of people who are blind, and the vast majority of those cases are cases of preventable blindness. Our first clinic is located in Uttar Pradesh, which is both the most populous and the poorest state in India. This means that every dollar spent in this area can go extraordinarily far in combating blindness and helping underserved people.
